Bringing Zamzam Water Home

Pilgrims departing Saudi airports are generally allowed one sealed five-litre container of Zamzam as checked baggage outside the normal weight allowance. It cannot go in hand luggage — it is a liquid like any other at security. Containers bought in city shops are not the sealed airport-issue ones and are routinely refused at check-in.
