Ihram: Rules, Miqat Points & Common Mistakes

Ihram begins with niyyah and talbiyah at the Miqat — flights from Pakistan usually cross Yalamlam or Qarn al-Manazil, so most pilgrims assume Ihram at the airport or on board. Restrictions include perfume, cutting hair or nails, and for men sewn fitted clothing and covering the head. The most common mistake is passing the Miqat without intention, which requires a damm.
